AD/YouTube

If you don’t like the look of a clunky TV hanging on the wall, Hilary Duff has the perfect solution! When the actress and mom of two recently gave Architectural Digest a tour of her modern Beverly Hills home, she called the living room the “heart of the home,” where she and her family spend most of their time watching TV. But at first glance, you won’t see a big screen anywhere. That’s because it’s hiding in plain sight.

“I love this TV,” Duff says as she leads the camera to what appears to be a large framed piece of artwork. “It’s called The Frame — it’s a Samsung and it looks like a photograph. So you don’t even know that it’s actually a TV until you turn it on.”

The Samsung Frame TVis designed to seamlessly blend into your home decor. When turned on, it delivers stunning 4K

Solano County legalized home food popups. But chefs still can’t sell

When Solano County approved a new California law that would legalize home-based kitchen operations in April, it seemed like Cheska Kistner’s plans to open a restaurant in her Benicia home would finally come to fruition. The measure, California’s AB626, allows for what are known as microenterprise food businesses, which Alameda County also made inroads toward legalizing Monday. But no Bay Area county has yet fully implemented the 2018 law, leaving entrepreneurs like Kistner in limbo.

Why Your Kitchen (and Your Morning Routine) Will Benefit from an Electric Kettle

Courtesy of Fellow

If the prospect of that first pour over gets you out of bed in the morning or a cup of tea gives you the steam you need to power through the day, then maybe it’s time to get an electric kettle that can handle all of your hot drink needs. And once you have an electric kettle, you’ll understand that it does so much more than that: They also speed up the process of cooking foods like oatmeal and pasta, heating water in the blink of an eye.

Why bother with an electric model when a stovetop kettle or pot of water does the job, you ask? Electric kettles automatically shut off, a safer and more convenient option than a forgotten flame or burner. Some electric kettles also turn off the kettle when the water runs dry, so you’re not in danger of an exploding vessel.
